Founded on May 18, 1994, in the city of São Paulo, Cosco Brasil S/A serves large producers in the industrial segment, cargo agents, NVOCC's and international trade companies, and today it lies among the major Brazilian shipowners in terms of units carried.
Cosco Brasil main purpose is to provide the ideal transportation for the trade between countries in South America, Asia, and the Far East, besides other destinations on request. Cosco attends all its vessels calling the Brazilian ports, both commercially and operationally. Among the main transported goods, we note food products, chemicals, petrochemicals and byproducts, durable products, equipment, auto parts and components.
Cosco containers arrive at their final destinations with only one transshipment. Goods intended for China, Japan, and Australia are transshipped in Hong Kong. Goods bound for the Persian Gulf and Saudi Arabia are transshipped in Singapore.
Santos Branch
Since June 1996, Cosco Brasil has been counting on an Operational Unit in Santos. It is responsible for controlling the containers, customs documentation, ships' supplies and other important backup services to customers and the crews. By means of its work, this Operational Unit expedite the procedures regarding loading and unloading of goods. Boasting a head office of its own, close to the harbor, the Operational Unit provides Cosco customers with fast information and a modern customer service structure.
